Brief Psychotic Episode: symptoms
have lasted > 1 day but < 1 month, and the patient has returned to
pre-morbid functioning in that time. Uncommon. May develop in response to
severe psychosocial stressor. More common in personality disorders (histrionic,
narcissistic, paranoid, schizotypal, borderline)

Schizoaffective Disorder: manic
or depressive syndrome develops concurrently

Delusional Disorder: non-bizarre
delusions present for 1 month without any other symptoms of schizophrenia

Schizophreniform Disorder:
duration of > 1 month but < 6 months (may progress to schizophrenia)
