·        Fovea: dip in middle of retina.  Only photoreceptors, neural connections heaped up around it

·        Macula: ill defined area around fovea

·        Uvea = iris, ciliary body and choroid.  Iritis = anterior uveitis

·        Reflex pathway: retina ® optic nerve ® optic chiasm ® optic tract ® lateral geniculate nuclei ® optic radiation and brain stem ® Edinger Westphal nucleus ® 3^rd nerve
