Stress ulcers: shock, burns, sepsis

·        Stress ulcers: shock, burns, sepsis

·        Due to mucosal hypoxia

·        Usually heal quickly

·        Appearance: multiple circular ulcers < 1cm.  Penetrate submucosa.  Occasionally massive bleeding
