One of the most common
ways to eat millets is as breakfast cereal or porridge.

Replace rice or wheat with millets in preparations such as:
a. Sambar rice
b. Curd rice
c. Upma
d. Kozhukattai
e. Pongal
f. Idli
g. Dosai
h. Adai

Snacks such as murukku, thattai and seedai and sweets such as
ladoo can be made from ragi.

Thinai is best suited for making adhirasam. It can also be used
to make halwa, ven pongal, sweet pongal or curd rice.

For pulav or biriyani, go for parboiled samai, kudthiravali or varagu.
