Binomial Names of Common Animals

As we find it dificult in identifying the required organism with their local names, we need a common name to be followed universally. To overcome this problem Carolus Linnaeus introduced the method of naming the animals with two names known as binomial names. The first name is called genus which is always written with the first letter capital and the second one is the species name always written in small letter. The binomial names of some of the common animals are as follows.
