Although this discussion has already touched on the key SVG elements and has shown the SVG structure implicitly, it is useful now to explicitly review the overall structure and elements of the SVG language.

A previous discussion has shown how to use SVG together with other XML technologies to deliver an interactive graphical visualization and has illustrated these concepts with the loan example. Although this discussion has already touched on the key SVG elements and has shown the SVG structure implicitly, it is useful now to explicitly review the overall structure and elements of the SVG language.

Structure

Figure 12.12 shows the high-level structure of an SVG document with the key elements that are valid in such a document.
