Oxicams
Intoxication
with piroxicam or tenoxicam results in dizziness, blurred vision, and sometimes
coma. Most cases of overdose develop no effects or mild effects consisting of
lethargy and gastrointestinal upset. Severe overdose may cause hypoten-sion,
coma, respiratory depression, gastrointestinal bleeding or acute renal
insufficiency. Seizures can occur. Treatment is on symptomatic and supportive
lines.
