Introduction

The origin of nursing was started from the history of humankind. Nurse in its simplest form has been practiced since the world began. Every mother and father is primarily a nurse. These maternal and paternal instincts have been the main source of nurse impulse. Nursing has been called the oldest of the arts and science and the youngest of the profession. The word nursing evolved from the Latin word “Nutricious” means to nourish, to cherish, to protect, to support and to sustain.
