Industrial nail guns

These are firearm-like tools used in construction work for firing metal studs into steel, wood or concrete. An interchangeable breech makes different calibres possible, usually ranging from 0,22 to 0,38 and with marked powers of penetration. The 0,22 charge, for example, can reach a velocity of 150 to 180 m/s. The velocity of the stud, its size and shape, and its tendency to tumble and ricochet all produce severe tissue disruption, resulting in atypical and larger wounds than those normally produced by ordinary bullets.
