Demonstration of Ascent of sap from root to stem and leaves with the help of Peperomia plant:

Requirements: A freshPeperomiaplant with roots, test tube, water, some reddye.

Procedure: Take water in the test tube and pour a little dye (safranin or pen inkwill do) in the test tube. Then place the Peperomia plant in the test tube in such a way that only the roots immersed in the coloured water. At this condition the experimental set is kept for observations.
