Cataract after Intraocular Surgery
Cataracts usually develop earlier in the
operated eye as compared to the opposite, non-operated eye after intraocular
surgery. This applies especially to filtering operations. A secondary cataract
will generally occur following vitrectomy and silicone oil tamponade.
