Measles vaccine along with mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine is currently used for universal immunization of children.

        Serum human gamma globulin, if administered within 6 days of exposure to measles, may prevent or attenuate the  disease. This is of immense value in children with immunode-ficiency, in pregnant women, and in others at increased risk to measles.
