PHP scripting language can be executed via an interpreter which is installed in the Webservers or CGI (Common Gateway Interface). Most of the Webservers such as Apache Tomcat, Microsoft IIS (Internet Information server) supports the PHP interpreter module. Refer Figure 4.1

PHP is an open source community development initiation. It has many versions to ensure quality and ease of Web development activities. The current version of PHP, 7.3 is released by the official team on 30 November 2017.
