proportion.

Two quantities* x *and* y *are said to be in direct proportion with
each other if they increase or decrease together in such a way that* x/y *remains constant.

Two quantities* x *and* y *are said to be in inverse proportion if
an increase in* x *leads to a decrease in* y *(or vice versa) in such a way that, the
product xy remains constant.

**Step 1**

Open the Browser type the URL Link given below (or) Scan the QR Code. GeoGebra work sheet named “Direct and Inverse Proportion” will open. There is one activity for Inverse proportion and two videos.

In
the activity “Inverse proportion”, Move the slider to change the speed of the car.
Click Start button to move the car at desired speed. Observe the time taken when
the speed is increased.
