Psychosis and Neurosis
Psychotic disorders are a group of illnesses that affects the
mind. These illnesses alter a person’s ability to think clearly, make good
judgments, respond emotionally, communicate effectively, understand reality and
behave appropriately.
Neurotic disorders have common historical origin, about one fourth
of the population in developed countries will suffer from neurotic disorders
during its lifetime course.
Psychosis (psychotic disorders)are severe mental disorders that
cause abnormal thinking and perceptions. People with psychoses lose touch with
reality. Two of the main symptoms are delusions and hallucinations
Neurotic disorder (neurosis) is a mild mental illness that is not
caused by organic disease of brain and not involve hallucinations and
delusions, and not loss of touch with reality.
