Odd Numbers and Even Numbers

The numbers ending with 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 in one's place are called odd numbers. The numbers ending with 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 in one's place are called even numbers.

ODD NUMBERS and EVEN NUMBERS

 

ODD NUMBERS

The numbers ending with 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 in one's place are called odd numbers.

EXAMPLE

1001, 1003, 1005, 1007, 1009

2371, 4863, 5605, 3787, 1239

 

EVEN NUMBERS

The numbers ending with 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 in one's place are called even numbers.

EXAMPLE

2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 9960

 

Remember:

To identify whether the given number is odd or even, it is enough to look at the digit in ‘ones‛ place.
