1) Fill in the boxes.

3. Add: 2713 + 104 + 1172 + 6010

4. A man visited a furniture shop. He bought a bed for Rs 2100, a dining table for Rs 3500, and six chairs for Rs 4200. How much money did he pay to the shop keeper?

Cost of a Bed               = Rs. 2100

Cost of a Dining table  = Rs. 3500

Cost of a Six chairs     = Rs. 4200

Total Money                 = Rs. 9800

Answer : He paid Rs.9800 to the shopkeeper

5. Create word problem for the addition facts given below.

(a) 3094 + 7923 = 11,017

(b) 8309 = 2309 + 6000

a) Meena bought a mobile phone for Rs.3094. She also bought a second hand laptop for Rs.7923. How much did she pay to the shopkeeper?

b) A shopkeeper sold 6000 apples and 2309 oranges in 5 days. What is the total number of fruits he sold at the end of the 5th day?

6. Create addition stories using the pictures and numbers given below.

a) There are six racks with to 6 toys in each. Find the total number of toys.

b) Find the total number of districts in Tamil Nadu.

c) Find the difference between the number of child birth in urban and rural areas.

7. Fill in the circles using 1400, 1500, 1600, 1700, 1800 and 1900 so that the three numbers along each line add up to 5000.
