1. Subtract the following.



i. 4/7 − 1/7 = 3/7

ii. 4/8 − 3/8 = 1/8

iii. 5/9 − 1/9 = 4/9

iv. 7/11− 3/11= 4/11

v. 7/13 − 4/13 = 3/13

vi. 5/10 − 3/10 = 2/10 = 1/5

vii. 7/12 − 2/12 = 5/12

viii. 8/15 − 2/15 = 6/15

 

2. 5/10 of a wall is to be painted. Ramu painted 2/10 of it. How much more is to be painted?

Wall is to be painted = 5/10

Ramu painted = 2/10

Remaining wall to be painted = 5/10 − 2/10 = 3/10

Answer: Remaining wall to be painted =3/10
