III. 1. Elangovan bought a bat for 105.15 and a ball for 24. How much money did he spend in all?

Cost of a bat = 105.15

Cost of a ball = 24.00  (+)

He spend        = 129.15

He spend = 129.15

2. Sadham went to vegetable shop and bought 1 kg of brinjal for 28.50, 1 kg of ladies finger for 10.50, 1 kg of pumpkin for 11.50. Find the total amount he spent in all.

Cost of 1 kg brinjal           = 28.50

Cost of 1 kg ladies finger  = 10.50

Cost of 1 kg pumpkin         = 11.50 (+)

Total amount he spend      = 50.50

Answer: Total amount he spend = 50.50

3. Kanmani bought pad and pen for her daughter at the cost of 65.50 and 48.75. How much money did she pay for the things?

Cost of pad  = 65.50

Cost of pen  = 48.25 (+)

She paid      = 113.75

Answer: Total amount he spend= 113.75

4. Ramya bought Vegetable rice, Idly and Dosai for 74.50, 28.50 and 60.50. Find the total amount he spent in all.

Cost of vegetable rice   = 74.50

Cost of Idly                  = 28.50

Cost of Dosai                = 60.50 (+)

Total amount he spend  =  163.50

Answer: Total amount he spend = 163.50
