From the tables 1 to 9 we will know the following:

10 x 1 = 10 10 x 1 = 10

10 x 2 = 20 10 x 2 = 20

10 x 3 = 30 10 x 3 = 30

10 x 4 = 40 10 x 4 = 40

10 x 5 = 50 10 x 5 = 50

10 x 6 = 60 10 x 6 = 60

10 x 7 = 70 10 x 7 = 70

10 x 8 = 80 10 x 8 = 80

10 x 9 = 90 10 x 9 = 90

10 x 10 = 100 10 x 10 = 100


Exercise 2.6

Multiply by 10, 100, 1000

Fill in the boxes.

1. 10 × 7 = 70

2. 100 × 16 = 1600

3.1000 × 9 = 9000

4. 10 × 696 = 6960

5. 100 × 96 = 9600

6. 1000 × 6 = 6000

Note:

When a number is multiplied by 10, 100, 1000, it is enough to write one zero, two zeros, three zeros respectively
