EXAMPLES

1. Convert 700cm into metre

100 cm = 1 m 

700 ÷ 100 = 7m

700cm = 7m

2. Convert 536cm into metre

100 cm = 1 m 

536cm = 500cm + 36cm

= (500 ÷ 100) + 36cm

= 5 m + 36cm

536cm = 5m 36cm
