CO2, Nd-YAG, argon, and potassium tetanal phosphate (KTP) lasers have all been used for airway surgery. Although CO2 lasers offer the best precision, they cannot be focused through fiberoptic bronchoscopes. Argon, Nd-YAG, and KTP lasers can be delivered through fiberoptic devices and are selected for this purpose.
