Let us learn the patterns in shapes by observing them.
Activity
* Take
two sets of shapes each namely square and triangle made of colour paper.
* Divide the class into two groups.
* Provide one set of shapes to each group.
* Now the teacher tells the number of shapes
to be used to create patterns. (for example, 1 square, 1 triangle)
* Then each of the groups create different
patterns on the floor using 1 square and 1 triangle.
* Encourage the groups to create more number
of patterns.
* Continue the activity with different number of shapes.
* Various patterns created using the triangle
and square shapes are shown below.

Make
