COLOURED VARIETIES:

 

Pure quartz is always colourless and transparent

 

Presence of impurities the mineral showing colour they

 

Amethyst: purple or violet

 

Smoky quartz: shades of grey

 

Milky quartz: light brown, pure white, opaque

 

Rose quartz: rose
