**Expanded form:** 7 thousands + 3 hundreds + 4 ten + one

7000 + 300 + 40 + 1

= 7×1000 + 3×100 + 4×10 + 1

**Solution:**

345678 + 2040 = 347718

The place value of 5 is 5 × 10000 = 50000

The place value of 4 is 4 × 100000 = 400000

The place value of 3 is 3 × 1000000 = 3000000
