A25-year-old woman with an uncorrected ventricu-lar septal defect presents for extraction of multiple impacted molar teeth. She has a history of palpitations, cyanosis since 5 years of age, and limited exercise tolerance. Her oxygen saturation on room air measured by pulse oximetry is 75%.
