Laser laryngoscopy is applicable for benign and malig-nant lesions. Specific indications for its use include cysts, laryngoceles, recurrent respiratory papillomatosis, subglot-tic hemangioma, benign cysts in the laryngoceles, vocal process granulomas, contact ulcers, and lymphangiomas. Malignant neoplasms, such as vocal cord cancer, and other obstructive airway lesions are also amenable to laser treat-ment. Conditions amenable to laser therapy include laryn-gomalacia, vocal cord paralysis, congenital and acquired anterior glottic webs, subglottic and glottic stenosis, as well as large laryngeal tumor debulking.

 

Speech applications of laser techniques include excision of vocal cord nodules and polyps, polypoid corditis, and dysphonia plicaventricularis.
