·  Has the problem changed at all? If so, when and in what way?

·  Has the patient sought medical attention before now? If so, what investigations have been done so far? What treatments have been tried?

·  Ask specifically about current state: eating, drinking, passing urine, stool, acting their normal self, and vomiting.
